Our October 2019 Picture of the Month award goes to Neil Ridley Photography for this incredible shot from Sarah and Luke’s post wedding shoot. Taken at Formby Beach in Merseyside, the picture becomes the tenth to go through to our Picture of the Year final in January. Neil is a big fan of post wedding shoots, telling us how they are a wonderful way to capture some fantastic images without some of the restrictions you might have on a wedding day…
Go Anywhere
“Post Wedding Shoots, or ‘Trash the dress’ shoots as they are known in America, are becoming more and more popular with brides and grooms. They allow me to capture amazing images for my clients in locations not available, and without the tight time constraints, on the wedding day. We can go anywhere and take as long as we like to get our results.
“Sarah and Luke booked me for their Post Wedding Shoot and I suggested we do it around Formby Beach, Merseyside. It was a bitterly cold day, with a strong wind blowing. This did not dampen Sarah or Luke’s spirits though and they were enthusiastic and upbeat throughout the shoot. The more energy that a bride and groom put in, the better images we shoot.
