And the winner is… Jo Hone Photography!

Bride standing by hills with veil blowing in the wind - Picture by Jo Hone Photography

There is just one place up for grabs for our Picture of the Year vote, after this fantastic picture by Jo Hone Photography received the most votes in our November Picture of the Day competition, to become the 11th picture to go through to the final. A delighted Jo told us how she got the shot…

“Phil and Edel’s wedding was at the end of August this year, in the beautiful hill village of Casoli, northern Tuscany. Phil and Edel love Casoli and had been many times previously (Phil proposed whilst they were holidaying there), so it seemed fitting to take their photos whilst walking up through the village in the early evening light.

“Edel had the most amazing veil which was naturally lifting behind her when there was any breeze, so when we found a little courtyard facing out towards the hills we couldn’t resist seeing if there would be enough breeze to blow the veil out behind her… and this was the first shot! Edel radiated true love and beauty all day, and I think this image captures that perfectly.”
