Congratulations to Darek Novak Photography, winner of The Wedding Community’s May 2021 Picture of the Month award. This cracking picture received the most votes in our poll and becomes the fifth picture to go through to our Picture of the Year final in January.
Darek took the picture at Tiffany and Wayne’s garden wedding in Ireland. The couple chose The House on the Sea as their venue, with the natural surroundings giving them the timeless, informal look they wanted. The informal nature of their wedding is reflected in the shot, with the couple having fun on their motorbike during the couple shots…
Wanted to Ride
“Tiffany and Wayne were just that kind of cool couple who don’t not worry about the dress being dirty or what people say. This shot wasn’t planned — they just had a bike and wanted to ride it on the day.
“Their wedding was the kind I love to shoot — all natural, as it is. If you want to ride a bike, do it. If you surf, let’s do it… and capture it!”
