And the winner is… John Charlton Photography!
Congratulations to John Charlton Photography, the winner of our May Picture of the Day vote. This fantastic picture beat off some very strong competition to become the fifth picture to go through to our Picture of the Year vote.
Kath from John Charlton Photography told us how the couple, Ben and Kristen, won their services by raising a large amount of money for Cash for Kids…
“This picture was taken at Ben and Kristen’s wedding at Malmaison in Birmingham on 21st August 2011. Alongside several other wedding suppliers we offered our services for free as part of a competition run by Kerrang Radio, where one lucky couple could win their wedding. To win, Ben and Kristen had to raise as much money as possible (through legal means!) within 7 days; all money raised went to a great local kids charity called Cash for Kids. Ben managed to raise one of the largest amounts of money by riding a space-hopper for 3 miles; now that is what I call love!
“Their wedding day was fantastic. It was a transatlantic wedding, as Kristen is originally from Minneapolis; it was great that all her family could make it over, especially as it was all arranged at quite short notice.”
