We are now halfway through finding our finalists for our 2015 Picture of the Year competition, after this picture by Mozingo Photography was voted our June 2015 Picture of the Month. This stunning picture was taken at Ashley and Clay’s ‘Rock the Frock’ session after their wedding in 2012, where the couple decided to make the most of the downpour which followed the session…
“The bride and groom in the photo are Ashely and Clay, who married on 18th February 2012 at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. The couple wanted additional photos around this beautiful estate so we scheduled a ‘Rock the Frock’ session with them the following month after their wedding. This kind of session always allows us to capture more moments with the couple, since the wedding day can be a bit limited on time. We had just wrapped up our session in front of the estate and rain started to pour down. We were all crouched under a tree for cover. Ashely was hesitant about getting her Vera Wang dress wet, but at the last minute decided to seize the moment and take care of the dress later. And so, history was made. All we can say is the right time, the right place and a willing couple often make the most memorable, gorgeous photographs!”
