And the winner is… Craig and Eva Sanders Photography!
We now have half our finalists for our Picture of the Year 2013 competition, after this beautiful picture by Craig and Eva Sanders Photography received the most votes to win our June Picture of the Day competition. The picture was taken at Sarah and Gerry’s wedding in Glasgow, and we asked Craig and Eva to tell us a little bit about the picture…
“Sarah and Gerry got married on the 13th April this year in Glasgow. Their wedding was wonderfully styled and a dream to photograph, and our only real challenge was to find a location to shoot some nice couple shots as their locations for the wedding had absolutely no gardens or features that we could use.
“We decided to use Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park and did a recce the day before the big day itself. The park was empty and the foliage wasn’t quite out, but we found some beautiful blossom trees in full bloom; yahoo! Job done! Fast forward to the next day, a Saturday, the hottest day of the year, and we arrived at the park only to find thousands of people out enjoying the weekend sun; aargh! Sarah and Gerry were absolutely fantastic and totally blanked out the screams coming from the kids play park 20 yards away, and gallery of onlookers, to help us come up with some of our favourite photographs of the year.”
