Gorgeous Golden Light

“Lucy and Victoria married at the beautiful Grendon Lakes in June 2017. I first met them at a wedding fair in 2016, and we got to know each other a bit better during their engagement shoot a couple of months before the big day. I couldn’t wait to capture their wedding. They are so down to earth and so in love, and I knew it was going to be an amazing day.

“I spent the morning of the wedding with both brides-to-be, who got ready together at their home just down the road from the venue. It was very chilled out and relaxed in the morning, with both brides and their bridesmaids sipping prosecco as they made their final preparations.

“Their outdoor ceremony was lovely. One of my favourite moments was watching their proud dads escort them each down the aisle as the guests looked on — I think there were a few tears. One of their three dogs acted as ring bearer which was a lovely moment, and Lucy and Victoria couldn’t stop smiling throughout the ceremony.

“I whisked the two of them away for some portraits a few times throughout the day, but as the sun went down over the lake I couldn’t resist taking them out onto the jetty by the lake in the gorgeous golden light, which is where I took this picture. The sun was perfect, and the couple clearly so in love.

“I loved capturing this tender moment where you can really tell how happy they are to finally be Mrs and Mrs.”
