And the winner is… Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography!

Bride and groom standing next to lake - Picture by Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography

The first finalist for our Picture of the Year 2013 competition is Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography, after this beautiful picture received the most votes in our January 2013 Picture of the Day vote. The picture was taken on the shores of Loch Lomond at the wedding of Fiona and Raymond, a day Chantal has great memories of…

“Fiona and Raymond were married on a beautiful sunny day at The Loch Lomond Waterfront on the shores on Loch Lomond, where this photo was taken. The day was planned by the amazing Carmen at Carmen Weddings, as Fiona and Raymond now live in Hong Kong.

“My style as a photographer is artistic, contemporary and photo journalistic. Whilst most of the day is taken capturing moments, emotions, and laughter, I also love to create artistic and memorable photos for the bride and groom with the surroundings, architectural features, or in this case beautiful landscape, which they can look back upon in years to come. After all, a couple’s venue of choice is chosen for a reason and I love to showcase this.

“This image was taken just a few meters away from where they became husband and wife. They will always remember the moment they exchanged their vows in front of family and friends, surrounded by this beautiful landscape, so I wanted to capture this for them in a timeless photograph

“Thanks to Fiona and Raymond for choosing me! I thoroughly enjoyed working with them and everyone else, and I have such great memories of the day!”
