And the winner is… Katie Drouet Photography!
That’s it, we now have our 12 Picture of the Year finalists (voting for our Picture of the Year competition will start on Tuesday 15th January), after this stunning picture by Katie Drouet Photography received the most votes in our December 2012 Picture of the Day competition.
We asked a very excited Katie to tell us a little about the picture…
“Remember remember the 5th of November… Alanna and Mike will certainly never forget this date, as they got married.
“It was a lovely crisp, cold November day at Maidens Barn in Essex. After a beautiful ceremony, where emotions and nerves were running high, I took the couple for a walk to capture them as husband and wife for the first time; it really was such an honour to share this moment with them.
“The sun was just going down so we grabbed a few precious shots just before we lost it… I just love Alanna’s eyes in this picture, she looks so content with Mike looking forwards towards their future… just perfect.
“Thanks so much to the two of them for letting me be such a important part of their day.”
