Why did you have an engagement shoot?
“Neither of us are very comfy in-front of a camera; I spend most of my time behind one and poor Laura has to fill in as my bored model. We wanted to have some time with Sam so he could get used to being around us and vice versa. Second to this we wanted some beautifully shot photographs of us a couple rather than the timer/arm stretched selfie!”
How do you feel that having an engagement shoot will help with having your wedding pictures taken?
“As soon as we met Sam we felt comfy around him; we already loved his work and approach so the engagement shoot has really just made us more excited about the wedding day pictures. Sam now has a better idea how we interact as a couple (lots of laughter/pee taking). Laura and I had such a fun evening with Sam, to have our engagement shoot the day after our food tasting makes the wedding feel very real… I can’t recommend having an engagement shoot highly enough. As long as you, like we did, find a photographer you get on with, you will have a amazing experience and some beautiful photographs to treasure forever.”
Which is your favourite picture?
“We might disagree on this one! My favourite is the black and white one of us sitting on the wall — beautiful light, great depth and tells such a wonderful story of an intimate moment between Laura and I.”
