We are very excited to share the news that today bridal wear designer Truvelle has launched a fabulous floral headpiece collection in collaboration with Oh Dina!
This headpiece collection proves that Truvelle are much more than just wedding dresses, with the introduction of this latest maker collaboration. The Vancouver bridal brand has added delicate floral headpieces and halos to their repertoire just in time for wedding season. Created alongside milliner Nicole McInnis of Oh Dina!, the collection created by these two indie brands is both simple and breathtaking.
The six pieces in this beautifully designed collection individually give off sepia tones which add to the collection’s sense of timelessness. Fresh hints of gypsophila and rosemary appeal to modern brides and their bridal parties alike.
We asked Truvelle and Oh Dina! a few questions about this exciting collaboration and new collection…
What was the inspiration behind the headpiece collection?
“We began collaborating on the collection in the summer of 2016. The inspiration for the headpieces came directly from the gorgeous Truvelle dress collection for 2017.
“We wanted it to have an organic feel with luxe flowers and effortless detailing. To create the soft feminine nature which Truvelle is known for and to fuse the Oh Dina! attention to detail with texture I incorporated dried gypsophila amongst the silk. Each tea-stained flower gives a timeless, antiqued feel, from the ranunculus blossoms to the English roses.” — Oh Dina!
How did this collaboration come about?
“Looking for an accessories line to complement our 2017 collection, we stumbled upon Oh Dina! and Nicole McInnis. After our first phone chat, it was clear that we needed to collaborate with Nicole. Her high energy and general enthusiasm was instantly contagious and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work together.
“We love the attention given to each piece, from sourcing materials around the world to her process of delicately tea-staining flowers and ribbon. The care and quality Nicole puts into creating her line is something we can stand behind and feel proud to offer to Truvelle brides and beyond!” — Truvelle
Which is your favourite piece in this new collection and why?
“It’s hard to pick just one piece in the collection, but I’m really loving the Lea Veil Comb. It has a mix of wild ferns, wax flowers, delicate gypsophila and is then anchored with the champagne coloured English roses. It’s such a lovely way to finish off a traditional veil.” — Oh Dina!
This stunning floral headpiece collection by Truvelle and Oh Dina! is available from today, 25th April, exclusively in Truvelle’s Vancouver flagship store, and the Oh Dina! store on Etsy.
