2019 is going to be one to remember when it comes to weddings. From weddings full of colour to eco-friendly celebrations, the predicted 2019 wedding styling trends will make it a sensational year to marry!

An Abundance of Colour

Colour is already starting to trend this autumn/winter wedding season, and is predicted to feature heavily in 2019 wedding styling too. We will see colourful decorations, flowers, details and coloured wedding dresses.

Wedding place setting with colourful flowers

As well as bold and bright colours, mixing metallic silver, gold and rose gold will be a popular combination. These colours are particularly eye-catching and perfect for the autumn and winter months.

Make use of metallic colours by displaying flowers in metallic vessels such as tins, pails and painted vases, rather than restricting to using metallic for just candleholders. Add accents of metallic to other materials such as glass, silver or brass as well as mixing with nudes, which will really make the colours pop.

Low Table Décor

Wedding guests love to interact with each other, sparking conversations with new people. Encourage this by using low displays and florals to decorate your reception tables, allowing everyone to see each other.

Low level wedding table setting

To add some height to your tables, use different sized decorations or place flowers on platforms such as log slices while still keeping the arrangements low, and enhance the 3D by going asymmetric.

Eco-Friendly Elements

This year we have seen a lot more eco-friendly elements introduced to weddings, and 2019 wedding styling will see this come into play a lot more. Couples are increasingly aware of the environment and want their wedding day to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Basket of biodegradable confetti in paper cones

Do your research and opt for details you can re-use or recycle. Use biodegradable confetti, paper instead of plastic, and give your flowers to to guests at the end of the day to get as much life out of them as possible.

Bringing the Outside Inside

Following Princess Eugenie’s wedding, we have already seen an increase in couples wanting large floral displays, enchanted forest and country garden style weddings for 2019.

Flower and foliage garland on beam

Couples will make use of real trees, foliage garlands and seasonal greenery indoors for their 2019 wedding styling, creating an outside, inside look and feel.

Work with the season and use abundantly available florals, trees and foliage, as well as locally grown.
